What We Do
Past
Alps Pharmaceuticals Pvt. Ltd was incorporated on April 6, 1980, under the India Companies Act, 1956, with its registered office at Pataldevi Industrial Estate, Almora, Uttrakhand (India) by Khajan Chandra Joshi. The manufacturing unit located at Pataldevi went on stream in 1996 and started the production of tablets and injections. The ownership of Alps Pharmaceuticals changed hands in 2005 when Jayesh K. Shukla took over the company in 2005.
During the initial years, Alps Pharmaceuticals was registered as a Small Scale Unit (permanent SSI No. A-05-04-05035) with very limited manufacturing capacity, supplying mainly to the Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand health departments. Following the change in ownership in 2005, production capacity of tablets and injectables (ampoules) was increased and new production lines were established for the manufacture of syrups, capsules, and injectables in vials.
Despite being a small manufacturer, the guiding principles of Alps Pharmaceuticals has been the same: to serve people first and make healthcare accessible to all.
Present
In 2021, Civic Services Pvt. Ltd., acquired Alps Pharmaceuticals after it went into administration under the National Company Law Tribunal. Civic Services Pvt. Ltd. is one of the fast growing multi-business companies in India, which manages a tea and coffee business under the brand name of Camellia Sinensis along with over 200 hectares of tea plantation and factory in Dibrugarh, Assam, that produces eight lakh tonnes of tea annually. The group has a strong presence in the transportation and logistics sector with it captive fleet of 50 trucks, which is expanding, besides the infrastructure sector, especially in road and highway construction. Civic Services is building a substantial landbank and owns prime properties in Agra, Dibrugarh, Ghaziabad, Lucknow, Mumbai, and Noida.

Our strong focus on Research & Development and innovation-based drug discovery process is enabling us to create a strong pharma value chain that will be capable of serving all sections of the society. We have incorporated internationally accepted Best Manufacturing Practices into our production processes in order to meet the highest standards of quality.
Our manufacturing facility in Almora is being modernised along with significant expansion in production capacity. At present, we have approved capacity to produce 1 crore tablets, 2 lakh capsules, 75,000 injection ampoules, 2,400 litres of injection vials, 20,000 litres of syrups, and 20,000 pieces of ointments per shift.
We are in the process of further strengthening our product portfolios in the Generic, Prescription and OTC categories of pharmaceuticals.
